Fun Crafts for Kids
If you’re looking for fun crafts for kids, you’ve come to the right place. I absolutely love doing crafts with my kids! It’s so fun to create art alongside them and make memories together. Here are a few of our favorites that I want to share with you!
Making Friendship Bracelets
My daughter and I recently tried this friendship bracelet kit from Walmart. It’s so fun! It felt a little intimidating when we first opened the pack, but once we got started, it was a lot better. We have just gotten started, but here’s what we have so far:

Also, it’s so pretty!
Sculpting Clay
My daughter just got a really cool kit gifted to her for her birthday. You do use the iPad for this one, you can use guided access to lock it into that app. Then the iPad actually guides your child in forming the clay animals from this Hey Clay Animals kit. It’s so cool!

Making things with Beads
There are so many bead kits to choose from. You can make keychains, bracelets, and necklaces. You can get larger beads for younger kids, or smaller ones as your child is older. Be careful around toddlers with beads as they can be a choking hazard.
Sewing
You can get little felt sewing kits from Amazon with precut holes which are great for teaching your little one to sew for the first time. When they’re ready, you can advance to a needle and thread and simple hand sewing projects and even to the sewing machine. Sewing is so fun and opens so many creative doors! It’s also a great way to build your child’s hand eye coordination, fine motor skills, and some critical thinking as they use geometry and measurement skills to create new projects.

Kinetic Sand
Kinetic sand is so fun to play with. It’s great for sensory play for younger kids and it’s really fun to dig in. You can have some in a small plastic bin and hide things in it. You can also use the little molds to make things. It also works well for creative sculpting on a table top. It won’t hold its shape as well as play doh, but you can make some pretty cool stuff with it for a temporary sculpture.

Perler Beads
You arrange these Perler beads carefully and then heat them with an iron with wax paper between. They can be used as keychains or just decorative art. Kids love making them and they take a while to complete. They are also pretty tedious which is good for building concentration and fine motor skills.
